2020 Regional Combines Recap

Late December and January played host to four (4) Regional Combines in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, and Saskatchewan in preparation for another year of international competition and to reintroduce players to staff and systems. 

In addition to the 2020 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship, Canada staff is preparing for the inaugural IIJL Commonwealth Cup in Melbourne, Australia this March and the 2020 IIJL World U17 Lacrosse Championship this October. "Our Regional Combines are becoming increasingly important as our international competition calendar continues to grow." Explained Canada General Manager Chris Fox. "We place a lot of importance on a player's maturity and competence; of course because they are representing their country, but especially when we are traveling to the other-side of the world." Fox added. 

Each of the four (4) Regional Combines are designed to prepare players for competition in a high-intensity environment. 

ALBERTA REGIONAL COMBINE DECEMBER 28, 2019

Team White defeated Team Red by a score of 18 - 10

BRITISH COLUMBIA REGIONAL COMBINE JANUARY 4, 2020

White and Red ended the game deadlocked at 7. 

ONTARIO REGIONAL COMBINE JANUARY 11, 2020

Team Red defeated Team White by a score of 8-6

SASKATCHEWAN REGIONAL COMBINE JANUARY 18, 2020

Team Red defeated Team White handedly by a final score of 14-5.
