Canada Rolls to Victory over Poland in 2023 World Junior Opener
On the back of a record setting performance for most points in a single game of a IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship by Matthew Boas, Canada rolled to a 32 -7 victory over Poland to open up the 2023 World Juniors.
Two other Canadian players, Finn Halladay and Dagan Carlson, reached the double digit point marker as well with 8 Goals and 5 Assists and 6 Goals and 5 Assists, respectively.
Returning Goaltender Shane Friesen went the distance in net, facing 39 Shots while making 32 Saves.
Canada peppered the Poland goaltending-duo for 73 Shots.
Canada's next game will take place on Wednesday August 9 at 8:00 PM CST when they take on Australia in the final Round-Robin game of the tournament to determine who will advance directly to the Semi-Finals and who will play an additional game in the Crossover with Group B.
