VANCOUVER, BC - The Canadian Lacrosse League (CLL) is honoured to announce that Dylan Evans has been added to the Canada coaching staff as an Assistant Coach for the 2019 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship.

"Much in the same way that we build our roster with players that become available, either by their teams not making playoffs or by being eliminated from playoffs, the same holds true for coaches." Said General Manager Chris Fox when discussing the addition of Dylan Evans to the Canada staff.

"Dylan is a great player in the National Lacrosse League and a leader for the Philadelphia Wings wearing an 'A' for the expansion team this past winter" Said Head Coach Jeff Dowling of Dylan's leadership. "He will be organizing our defence." Dowling added.

This past summer season, along with still playing with the Senior Brampton Excelsiors of Major Series Lacrosse (MSL), Dylan was the head coach of the Junior A Brampton Excelsiors of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League.

"Brampton [Junior A] lost a lot of fire power from the previous season. Dylan was able to focus their group, have them come together, and play past where many of their doubters had them finishing." Added Chris Fox.

Coach Evans, his defence, and Canada will open their 2019 IIJL World Junior Championship schedule against Australia on Tuesday August 6, 2019 at 8:00PM at Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. Tickets for both of Tuesday's games are only $11.99 [Day Pass] and can be purchase online through TicketMaster here (click).
