Final Round-Robin Game Against Poland
In Canada's final round-robin game of the 2026 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship they faced a 1-2 Poland roster that has progressed steadily through the course of the tournament.
Archer Hunt opened the scoring for Canada at 12:22 in the 1st Quarter. With the opening goal Canada would not relinquish the lead for the remainder of the game. Connor Materi and Jevan Munro added goals in the 1st Quarter as well to close out the opening frame 3-2 for Canada.
Much of the same for Canada in the 2nd Quarter with goals from Judah Nation, Hunter Skrove, Materi, and Brandon McNalley. Canada goaltender Dane Stiefel closed the door in the 2nd Quarter turning away all 8 Shots from Poland.
Issac Wong opened scoring for Canada at 12:41 to start the second half. But it would be Poland that would win the individual quarter with goals from Ty Hanson and Chase Richardson, but Poland still trailed 8-4 heading into the 4th Quarter.
Canada scored first again to start the 4th Quarter Michael Dyck. Poland responded with two more from Hanson , solidifying his hat trick, and Hunt with his second to bookend the game for Canada and closing out round-robin play.
