Geddie Shines in NLL Week 8
A busy Week 8 in the NLL saw two teams play two games, both of which happened to play the rare Monday night games - adjusted to accommodate sports fans in Philadelphia. Â
Ottawa Black Bears 9 - Vancouver Warriors 8
The Black Bears got back on track, Jacob Dunbar ('19) scored 1 Goal with t Shots on Goal, added 1 Assist, and picked up 2 Loose Balls. Jeff Teat ('15) scored 2 Goals on 12 Shots, added 4 Assists, and picked up 3 Loose Balls.Â
For the Warriors, Johnathan Peshko ('18, '19) had 1 Assist but did not record a Shot on Goal, and picked up 2 Loose Balls.Â
Toronto Rock 11 - Saskatchewan Rush 8Â
The Toronto Rock and Chris Weier ('19 E-Box) secured that elusive first win of the season. Weier was solid on defence and pushed the ball in transition, recording 1 Assist, 3 Loose Balls, and 1 Caused Turnover.
Albany Firewolves 13 - Colorado Mammoth 10
For the Firewolves, Nick Chaykowsky ('15) was assessed a minor 2 Minute Penalty, Â grabbed 8 Loose Balls, and 2 Cause Turnovers.
For the Mammoth, Sean Kriwokon picked up 1 Assist and 1 Loose Ball, along with 2 Caused Turnovers.Â
Buffalo Bandits 19 - Philadelphia Wings 14
In a classic NLL match-up, dating back to the days of the Major Indoor Lacrosse League (MILL), the Wings kept pace. Sam LeClair ('19) had 3 Goals on 5 Shots on net, picked up 3 Loose Balls, and was initially assessed a 5 Minute Major Penalty for a pick, but after review was dropped to only 2 Minutes, as opposed to a simple possession call. Deacan Knott ('22) saw action in net for 10:39 Minutes and made 7 Saves.Â

Calgary Roughnecks 12 - Georgia Swarm 11
For the Roughnecks, Haiden Dickson ('18) scored 1 Goal on 4 Shots, and picked up 8 Loose Balls.Â
For the Swarm, Seth Van Schepen ('19) picked up 6 Loose Balls and had 2 Blocked Shots.Â
Las Vegas Desert Dogs 12 - San Diego Seals 10
A big game for the Desert Dogs. Jake Saunders ('18) was silent on the gamesheet but deadly for the Desert Dogs contributing on the back end to help secure Justin Geddie ('21) his first Win of his NLL career. Geddie went the distance, 60:00 Minutes in net and recorded 43 Saves!Â
Similar to Saunders, Matthew Wright ('18, '21) has a quiet night in statistical categories but was solid for the Seals on defence and in transition.

Philadelphia Wings 14 - Vancouver Warriors 13
In an oddity Monday night game, the Wings bounced back to go 1-1 on the weekend. Sam LeClair had 1 Assist and 1 Shot on Goal, contributing off-ball throughout the night.Â
Johnathan Peshko had a more productive night for the Warriors in their second game of Week 8, unfortunately going 0-2. Peshko scored 1 Goal, added 2 Assists, 3 Shots on Goal, and picked up 2 Loose Balls.Â
