International Lacrosse at its Finest - Canada vs Australia
In a relationship that started in 2019, Australian Box Lacrosse and Canadian Lacrosse League have played more international box lacrosse games against each other than any two other organizations over the last seven years.
Tuesday night the tradition continued as these two brother organizations hit the floor of Centennial Regional Arena in Brooks, AB at the 2026 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship for Game 5.
Canada came out the gate quick scoring at 14:11 of the 1st Quarter with a goal from alternate captain Issac Wong. Shortly after Canada scored again, this time from alternate captain Brandon McNalley. Australia would strike back on a marker from Adam Jerejian. But that would be as close as Australia would get within striking distance of Canada — Canada's Carter Foote would close out the 1st Quarter with a goal in transition.
Canada continued momentum in the 2nd Quarter with a five (5) Goal run from Judah Nation, McNalley (3), Hunter Skrove. Australia snapped the run with a goal from Luke Spivey.

The game of runs continue with Canada going on a five (5) Goal run on their own that extended to the 13:22 mark of the 4th Quarter with goals from; Archer Hunt, Judah Nation (2), Dargrin Bahr-Hemsing, and Wong.
Canada and Australia both scored 3 Goals in the 4th Quarter to end the game in Canada's favour 15-8. Canada is now 2-0 and will face the United States at 8:00 PM MDT on Canada Day.
