Vaesen added four (4) Assists in the Falcons 24-18 win over the Mars Hill University Lions on Saturday February 9, for their first win of the 2019 season. With the 11 goal performance, Vaesen became tied for second in NCAA Division II for Most Goals in a Single Game, and became third in NCAA Division II for Most Points in a Single Game with 15.

In the gold medal and two round-robin games of the 2018 WJLC Vaesen, the 6'0", 185lbs, left handed Forward from the Victoria, BC recorded 7 Goals, 5 Assists, for 12 Points as a 19 year old. Vaesen led the Nanaimo Timbermen of the British Columbia Junior A Lacrosse League (BCJALL) with 37 Goals, 29 Assists, for 66 Points in only 20 Regular Season Games. "Thomas was a calming factor for us on the offensive end of the floor." Said Chris Fox, Canada General Manager and Assistant Coach of the then 19 year old Vaesen. "He can shoot, that's for sure. But he can do so much more; set picks, find the open man, he proved that last year at World Junior and he's doing it again this time at school." Fox added. "It's important that we celebrate player's accomplishments while they are away at college and university, both on and off the field."

In honour of his performance Vaesen was named the Offensive Player of the Week by the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). Vaesen and The University of Montevallo Falcons travel to Dayton Beach, Florida to take on the Embry-Riddle University Eagles on February 14th looking to improve on their 1-1 record.
