The IIJL World U16 Lacrosse Championship (WU16LC) is the only international box lacrosse championship for players under sixteen years old (U16). Over the last five (5) years the World U16s has become an annual marquee box lacrosse event and a proven development pathway for players looking to gain valuable junior experience.
The 2026 IIJL World U16 Lacrosse Championship is open to players born in 2011 and 2012—players who will be turning 15 or 14 years of age in 2026. Players are selected to compete at the World U16s by attending Regional Combines. Players interested in competing on the world stage are encourages to attend a Regional Combine - find a location near you (click).
Past World U16 Rosters
Countless Alumni who have competed for Canada at IIJL Events have gone on to win countless championships, including but not limited to the LC Minto, Mann, Founders, and Presidents Cups as well as many being selected in the National Lacrosse League Draft.
