2023 E-Box Roster Announced

The Canadian Lacrosse League is happy to announce the 18 Man Roster for Canada that will head to Bratislava, Slovakia and Prague, Czech Republic this month to compete at the 2023 E-Box tournament taking place at the world famous Aréna LCC Sokol Radotín. 

Every player selected has participated in at least one Regional Combine held over the last four seasons. Additionally, there are two returning players that have competed for Canada internationally; Evan Gartner (Calgary Mountaineers - RMJALL) played at the 2021 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship in Winnipeg, MB and Sylas Guenther (Saskatchewan SWAT - RMJALL) played at the 2023 IIJL Commonwealth Cup. 

Backstopping this CANDT roster as they face five Men's National Box Teams in five days is the goaltending duo Tait Pinch (Edmonton Warriors - RMJBLL) and Ryan Atkinson (Victoria Shamrocks - WLA/WCSLA). Built from the backend out, with a focus on pushing the ball in transitionIn, in front of the goalies are; from Alberta Connor MacDougall (Beaumont Outlaws  - Sr. B), Guerin Nollski (Fort Saskatchewan Rebels - Sr. B), Jackson Laurie (Calgary Mountaineers - RMJALL), Max Pocherewny (Okotoks Marauders - RMJBLL), from Saskatchewan Kayden Ludwig (Queen City Kings - RMJBLL), Ethan Kasner, Kayde Shymko (Moose Jaw Mustangs - PGJLL), Easton Berrns (Saskatchewan SWAT - RMJALL), from British Columbia Fred Harbinson, Logan Cote (Delta Islanders - BCJALL, Shooting Eagles - ALL-West), Bill Brewer (Kamloops Venom - TOJLL), from Manitoba and the Winnipeg Blizzard (RMJBLL) Carter Ullett, Reese Whyte, Tyrell Gray, and from Nova Scotia Aidan Ring (Mi'kmaq Warriors - ECJLL). 

The CLL will make history once again when visiting to Bratislava. The CANDT will be the first Canadian lacrosse team to compete in Slovakia, as a commitment to their newly formed partnership with Slovak Lacrosse

CANDT will play a series of games while in Europe. First, in Bratislava against Slovakia. Then travelling to Prague to compete in E-Box against Germany, the Czech Republic on back-to-back nights Saturday and Sunday, ending the tour with an afternoon game against Israel. 

"The focus of our E-Box roster was to get additional work with our 2003 born players prior to any inclusion in this year's World Juniors." said Chris Fox, CANDT acting General Manager. "Playing against Men's National Box Teams also provided an opportunity to work with graduating junior and seniors players who we weren't able to include on previous World Junior rosters because they were competing at Founders, Minto, or needed to head to school early." Fox added. 

Schedule and stats for the 2023 E-Box will be posted on the tournament's official website and will be linked when available. Links to the live stream will be released prior to the start of the tournament. ABOUT E-BOX
The seventh annual of the international games series European Box Lacrosse Invitational is held at the LCC Radotín arena (Vykoukových 622/2, Prague-Radotín) and in Černošice arena (Fügnerova 1244, Černošice) from Friday April 21 to Monday April 24. Ten European national teams will compete. For the first time women's box lacrosse tournament SheBox is organized with participation of five teams.
