Day 3, and final day of the round-robin, was a day to impress for the Australian player to make their case to be selected by Australian Box Lacrosse for the 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup Championship Game.

Eastern Rage/Kings vs Western Thunder

The best way to describe this game is a "Barn Burner". The Rage/Kings and Thunder combined for a total of 42 Goals in the game.

While the Goaltenders may have felt the brunt of the fire-power, the goal-scores were certainly on display. The Rage/Kings were led by #99 Fabian Hall with 6 Goals and 2 Assists. The Thunder were led by #83 Orlando Kernaghan with 8 Goals. Final score of game five of the 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup was Western Thunder 22 - Eastern Rage/Kings 20. 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup Rage/Kings Thunder

New Zealand Storm vs Canada

Canada entered the final game of the round-robin desperately looking for consistency leading up to the 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup Championship Game on Monday night.

Canada came out on a slow but positive note in the first quarter with a 3 Goal run, broken by the New Zealand Storm with their first and only goal to end the quarter. The second frame was quiet as well with Canada and the Storm exchanging 2 Goals each, ending the half with a score of 5-3, in favour of Canada.

The second quarter was a different story, looking as though the Canada roster finally found their groove. While the Storm went blow-for-blow with Canada, exchanging a goal a piece—mirroring the second quarter, Canada exploded after the exchange with a 6 Goal run to close out the third.

In the rhythmic nature Canada and New Zealand Storm would score 8 and 2 Goals again, respectively—matching their third quarter output. Final score of game six of the 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup was Canada 21 - Storm 7.

Canada finished the 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup round-robin with a 3-0 record. Ahead of the Championship final game, Canada looks to be firing on all cylinders and ready to defend their undefeated record at the event.
