Canada Alumni First Three Picks in Western Association Draft

Last week the Ontario Junior and Senior Association leagues held their annual entry drafts with teams selecting two (2) and six (6) Canada Alumni from the World Junior and World U16 rosters, respectively. 

This week the BC Senior A circuit, the Western Lacrosse Association, held their annual junior entry draft on January 31st. Prior to the draft, each team was able to protect two players that fell under their territorial protection umbrella.

The first three picks were all Canada Alumni, first overall Jacob Dunbar, second overall Arthur Miller, and third overall Evan Soucey.

In addition to being the first three picks, all three players spent the 2022 season with the Nanaimo Timbermen in the BCJALL. Dunbar previously played for the Port Coquitlam Saints. 

The six (6) Canada Alumni drafted into the WLA have a combined four (4) Silver and three (3) Gold Medal between them.
