CLL Partners with Maritime University Field Lacrosse League

by PRESS RELEASE

The Canadian Lacrosse League (CLL) and Maritime University Field Lacrosse League (MUFLL) have entered into a partnership to enhance the profile of the players and programs competing in MUFLL.

The partnership is a continued effort by the CLL to promote post-secondary education and collegiate lacrosse opportunities in Canada with a focus on highlighting the student-athletes and individual Men's Lacrosse programs at Acadia University, Dalhousie University, Mount Allison University, University of New Brunswick, University of Prince Edward Island, Saint Francis Xavier University, and Saint Mary's University.

"The Maritimes may not be the first place that comes to mind for Lacrosse, but frankly if you aren’t looking at coming East, you are missing out on one of the preeminent undergraduate experiences in North America. Our schools are consistently ranked nationally for both academics and student life, and with the work our minor associations are doing at the grass roots level across the Maritimes, the popularity of Lacrosse is only going to grow. We are looking forward to working with the CLL to tell our students’ stories and to show Canada what the MUFLL has to offer." said Tyler James , MUFLL Commissioner.

This partnership, in addition to the recent announcement between the CLL and Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA), increases the collective attention on lacrosse helping to accelerate the relevance and growth of the sport commercially in Canada.

"The Maritime University Field Lacrosse League is a hidden-gem within the collegiate lacrosse landscape." said Chris Fox, CLL Founder and President. "We are excited to support their players and programs, introducing them to new audiences through dedicated stories and content across our platform" added Fox.

Along with sharing best practices, the mutually beneficial relationship between the two leagues will see the Canadian Lacrosse League create MUFLL specific content that will be integrated into the CLL marketing and content calendar. "Like with our other partnerships, we are excited to bring the stories of players, coaches, and programs in MUFLL to life and introduce them to a wider audience" Fox reiterated.
