In 2015, with two years of junior and a season of collegiate lacrosse under his belt, Nick Chaykowsky (Bradford, ON) represented Canada playing for C-Lax at the inaugural IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship, which at the time was known as the U-19 World Lacrosse Challenge.Â
Leading up to that same summer, Chaykowsky completed his freshmen year at Nipissing University where he received All-Canada Honourable Mention for the 2014 CUFLA season. During the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse Season he played his best statistical season of Junior A lacrosse with the Barrie Lakeshores which lead to him ultimately being named to the Canada C-Lax Roster.
During the World Juniors he provided leadership at both ends of the floor, powering his Canada C-Lax team to a head-to-head battle with Canada West. While C-Lax and Chaykowsky did not win gold, he walked away with a silver medal and priceless experience on the international stage that would add to the depth of his character proving to be valuable in the next chapter of his lacrosse career.
