CLL Partners with UBC Thunderbirds Lacrosse SC

by PRESS RELEASE

The Canadian Lacrosse League (CLL) and University of British Columbia Thunderbirds Lacrosse Sports Club (UBC Lacrosse) have entered into a partnership to support the growth of the UBC Lacrosse program and increase the collective attention of collegiate lacrosse in Western Canada.

The latest CLL collegiate partnership is a continued effort by the CLL to promote post-secondary education and collegiate lacrosse opportunities in Canada with a focus on highlighting the student-athletes and UBC Lacrosse program.

“We are very excited about where this partnership will take us in the future along with college lacrosse in Western Canada” said Kyle Olsen, Club Lead for UBC Lacrosse. “Our goal for this partnership is to showcase our program to players across Canada and promote opportunities to play college lacrosse on the West Coast.” added Olsen.

This partnership is unique compared to the previously two collegiate partnerships announced by the CLL, Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) and Maritime University Field Lacrosse League (MUFLL), as this will be the first to focus exclusively on an individual program.

"Partnering with UBC Lacrosse provides us with the opportunity to promote collegiate lacrosse in Canada from coast-to-coast." said Chris Fox, CLL Founder and President.

Along with sharing best practices, the mutually beneficial relationship between the CLL and UBC Lacrosse program will see the Canadian Lacrosse League create UBC Lacrosse specific content that will be integrated into the CLL marketing and content calendar. "Just as we are with our other partner-leagues, we are excited to bring the stories of players, coaches, and UBC Lacrosse program to life and introduce them to a new audience." Fox concluded.
