Canada Development TEAM

In addition to IIJL Championships (World Juniors, World U18s, and World U16s) CLL provides additional opportunities for players to compete internationally through the Canada Development Team (CANDT) as part of the CLL Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) Model, CANDT supports players in an effort to achieve their individual goals—either with CLL or other junior, senior, and professional leagues. Additionally, CANDT runs congruently with the US Indoor Lacrosse USA Development Team (USADT) providing Canadian and American players with the opportunities to train and compete on both sides of the border year-round. Each year the CANDT schedules a full slate of games and tournaments in Canada, the United States, and internationally for players to showcase their skills and develop. Lastly, CANDT rosters are not limited to specific age categories.Ā

In addition to our annually scheduled trip to Australia to compete in the 2026 IIJL Commonwealth Cup, CLL is working with stakeholders to schedule events in Asia and Europe. While CLL has traditionally been focused on international competition, a full slate of domestic Canadian events will be offered in 2026 for players looking for an alternative to the archaic and suppressive 'Association' circuit.Ā
