CLL Faces Experienced Adelaide Thunder in Game 2

ALTONA, VIC — The fourth game of the 2024 IIJL Commonwealth Cup saw Canada facing an experienced Adelaide roster under the lights of the Alan Lewer Box Court at Altona Lacrosse Club. 

Canada opened the scoring with a transition goal from #10 Roman Marshall at the 5:35 mark of the 1st Quarter. Adelaide, showing their experienced, answered back quickly with a goal from #16 Oscar Page. at 5:06. Page was a standout for Australia at the 2023 IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship in Saskatoon, SK - and led Adelaide in score against Canada with 4 Goals and 1 Assist. 

However, that would be the closest Adelaide would get as Canada would go on three separate 3 Goal runs in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Quarters - pulling completely away in the 3rd and 4th with a 6 Goal run. While Adelaide would not score in the final frame. 

The game ended with a final score of Canada 18 - Adelaide 7. Leading score for Canada was #3 Cashton Seaborg with 2 Goals and 6 Assists. 

Players of the Game, for Canada was #88 Mason Williams (Moose Jaw, SK) with 2 Goals and 2 Assists and for Adelaide #00 Lucas Deshon (Bayswater Lacrosse Club).
