CLL Partners with Simon Fraser University Men's Lacrosse
The Canadian Lacrosse League (CLL) and Simon Fraser University Men's Lacrosse (SFU Lacrosse) have entered into a partnership to support the growth of the SFU Lacrosse program and increase the collective attention of collegiate lacrosse in Canada.
The latest CLL collegiate partnership is a continued effort by the CLL to promote post-secondary education and collegiate lacrosse opportunities in Canada with a focus on highlighting the student-athletes, individual lacrosse programs, and intercollegiate leagues.
"We are excited to partner with the Canadian Lacrosse League and the opportunity to shine a spotlight on what it means to be a student-athletes at SFU and compete in the MCLA." said Matt Sobey, SFU Men's Lacrosse Head Coach.

In addition to the previously three collegiate partnerships announced by the CLL; Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA), Maritime University Field Lacrosse League (MUFLL), and UBC Thunderbirds Lacrosse SC (UBC Lacrosse), the partnership with SFU Lacrosse is the first with an intercollegiate program that competes exclusively against colleges and universities from the United States in Division I of the Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA).
"Attending and studying at Simon Fraser provides a unique experience for anyone looking to play collegiate lacrosse in Canada." said Chris Fox, CLL Founder and President. "Having spent four years as an Assistant Coach at Simon Fraser, I am excited for the CLL to share the rich history of the program and SFU alumni while highlighting their current players to a wider audience."
Along with sharing best practices, the mutually beneficial relationship between the CLL and SFU Lacrosse program will see the Canadian Lacrosse League create SFU Men's Lacrosse specific content that will be integrated into the CLL marketing and content calendar.
