by PRESS RELEASE

In an effort to provide Member and Participating Nations with equal opportunities to develop both men and women for international competition, International Indoor Junior Lacrosse (IIJL) is excited to announce the formation of the Women's World Junior Lacrosse Championships.

The inaugural IIJL Women's World Junior Lacrosse Championship (WWJLC) will take place in August 2023 and will be hosted by the Canadian Lacrosse League, Founding Member Nation representing Canada at all IIJL championships and events.

Players competing in the 2023 IIJL Women's World Junior Lacrosse Championship must be born between 2003 and 2005.

In addition to being the first IIJL championship dedicated to providing female athletes a platform to compete for an international box lacrosse championship, the IIJL Women's World Junior Lacrosse Championship is the first international women's box lacrosse championship in history.
